Selftape Casting - “The Director”
Concept
A meta commercial, where we meet two main characters. The fast “director”, who has a clear vision about creating a authentic, strong, action packed commercial. And the rather neurotic “mascot”, who’s forced to do all kinds of stunds. He’s not very pleased about this, but he is determined to do everything for his 15 seconds of fame.
Requirements
- Male.
- 30-40 y.o.
- British accent
- We want an arrogant Simon Cowell inspired character.
- He should be rather good looking, dark haired and be used to acting.

- Genre: Commercial.
- Online distribution, world wide.
- Running time 1 year from release pr. film .
- Length: 15 x 30 sec.
- Shooting period: 11th-17th of July 2017.
- Exact work schedule and gage will be defined when arranging hiring.
- Shooting location: Aarhus Filmby, Studie 2, 8000 Aarhus C.

From the script “Airplane reference”
SCENE 1. STUDIO. INT.
A large gathering of PEOPLE, with a lot of different "weapons" - (Boxing gloves, HAMMER, SAMURAI WORTH, JACK, SHOTGUN,
ETC..)
Camera pans to the MASCOT, who is standing terrified, looking at the queue.
DIRECTOR
This is the scene where we gonna go through all of the emotions mate, here you will get bashed, beaten, scratched, pushed, spit on and so on… It will be freaking magical.
MASCOT
Hehe... Okay. But at least the weapons aren’t real right?
DIRECTOR
Haha. You’re funny mate. Who’s the first one?
AN ASSISTANT whisper in the directors ear.
DIRECTOR
The man with the samurai sword... Yeah you! Will you please come to the stage mate.
A samurai Ninja makes cool moves all the way into the film set and slams his samurai sword millimeters from the mascots face. The mascot gets really anxious and shaky DIRECTOR (TO THE ASSITANT) This is what I’m talking about... This is real. THE END.
