Selftape Casting - “The Mascot”
Concept
A meta commercial, where we meet two main characters. The fast “director”, who has a clear vision about creating a authentic, strong, action packed commercial. And the rather neurotic “mascot”, who’s forced to do all kinds of stunds. He’s not very pleased about this, but he is determined to do everything for his 15 seconds of fame.
Requirements
- Male.
- 25-40 y.o.
- We want a person who has tried acting before and has a sense of humor.
- He should be rather awkward, goofy, clumsy and empathetic.

- Genre: Commercial.
- Online distribution, world wide.
- Running time 1 year from release pr. film .
- Length: 15 x 30 sec.
- Shooting period: 11th-17th of July 2017.
- Exact work schedule and gage will be defined when arranging hiring.
- Shooting location: Aarhus Filmby, Studie 2, 8000 Aarhus C.

Context:
The mascot is really frustrated about the on-going and extreme stunts and tries to talk some sense into the very arrogant director - but once again he is very unlucky.
From the script “Talks”
SCENE X. STUDIO. INT.
The mascot and the director are on a film location, having a break from the recordings.
They are standing next to a table with food for the crew. The director fills his plate, while the mascot is gathering up his courage to approach the director.
DIRECTOR
You have something to say Johnny?
MASCOT
Me no, no no no... Actually. I was just wondering if we could take it easy on the stunts...
FAR AWAY VOICE
Let’s start again.
DIRECTOR
Nice talk Johnny.
The director gives the mascot a pat on the back and leaves.
